Collection: Jacques Tredoux Leather Crafter11
I was born and raised in the southern region of Namaqualand, South Africa, with a love for gadgets and the great outdoors from a very young age. While attending agricultural high school, I learned to manufacture articles from wood and metal. After school I studied marketing, advertising and promotions management, which added to understanding business practices. I spent years in retail and when I sold my business, studied conservation and tourism.
As a nature guide I travelled every region in South Africa extensively, meeting people from all walks of life and from all over the world. Settling in the Boland in 2017, I fulfilled my dream of building “gadgets” using leather, for the hunting and outdoor industry. I decided to honour my beloved Weimeraner, Putty, by adding him to the JTLC logo. Although less frequent, I still do freelance guiding excursions, but for now, designing, manufacturing and marketing leather products takes up most of my time, which I thoroughly enjoy and I am grateful for.
