1. Detailed description of goods and/or services

Tredoux Trading Post is a business in the home craft industry that produces handmade products. Please note that products may differ slightly in colour from those depicted on photographs.

Although Tredoux Trading Post supports natural remedies, we are not medical practitioners and customers should always consult a medical practitioner if uncertain about using any natural products.

2. Delivery policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, available stock purchases will be processed within 5 days and delivery is by way of courier services at an additional cost.  Some of our items are only available on order. Should you purchase an item on order, please allow 4 weeks for processing, unless otherwise discussed with us. Production will only commence once proof of payment has been received. Our suppliers are situated in different parts of the country, therefore courier charges will be added accordingly.

3. Export restriction

Tredoux Trading Post does not trade in any animal products derived from CITES listed species.

4. Return and Refunds policy

We have a 3-day return policy, which means you have 3 days after receiving your item to request a return.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.  To start a return, you can contact us at admin@tredouxtrading.com.  If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Courier charges will be for your account. You can always contact us for any return question at admin@tredouxtrading.com.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct this.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods, custom products (such as special orders, orders made to size, laser engraved or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Once your package has been received, inspected and approved for refund, you’ll be notified and automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

5. Customer Privacy policy

Tredoux Trading Post shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000 (PAIA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013 (POPIA).  The PAIA and POPIA may be downloaded from:  http://www.polity.org.za.

6. Payment options accepted

Payment may be made using methods as set by Payfast and Paypal. We are also able to offer Capitec Bank’s “Scan To Pay”. If you are unable to use one of these methods, please contact us at admin@tredouxtrading.com.

7. Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Tredoux Trading Post via Payfast who are the approved payment gateway for all South African acquiring banks. Payfast and Paypal uses the strictest form of encryption and no card details are stored on the website.

8. Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Tredoux Trading Post separately from card details which are entered by the client on Payfast’s secure site. For more detail on Payfast refer to www.payfast.co.za.

9. Merchant outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

10. Export Shipping Quote

Tredoux Trading Post uses Airmail by the South African Postal Services for the shipping of parcels outside of South Africa. Quotes are determined by weight and volume of the package. Please contact admin@tredouxtrading.com for a quotation.

Tredoux Trading Post takes no responsibility for delays in international shipping or additional costs attracted due to International Customs or any other matter. Please also note that once your package has been delivered to the post office, we will not take any responsibility for loss, theft or damage thereof.

11. Responsibility

Tredoux Trading Post takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods to the courier.

Please note that once your package has been delivered to the courier or post office, we will not take any responsibility for the time taken, loss, theft or damage thereof.

12. Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Tredoux Trading Post chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

13. Variation

Tredoux Trading Post may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
